The word we talk about today is“一帶一路”, the Belt and Road Initiative. It refers to a trade and infrastructure network that includes the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. It was first proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in Sept. and Oct, 2013 during his visits to Central and Southeast Asia. Its aim is to improve cooperation with countries across Asia, Europe and Africa.
